Correct answer: B. Attach the PDF to the chat and ask your question about it
Explanation
The principle — Claude answers from what it is given, so the quality of the input sets the ceiling on the answer.
Why the key is correct — PDFs are among the accepted document types, a chat accepts up to twenty files at up to 500MB each, and PDFs are supported up to a thousand pages. A sixty-page contract sits comfortably inside every one of those limits, so the whole document can be the input rather than your summary of it.
Why the others are wrong — describing the contract substitutes your reading for the source, and the clause you overlooked is exactly the one you needed. Claude cannot reach into your email or your disk to fetch a private file. And truncating to the first two pages assumes you already know where the answer is.
Remember this — attach the real thing. Describing a document throws away the reason for asking.
